Shipping
We offer free standard shipping on BetterTap systems within the continental United States. Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days, and most systems arrive within 5–7 business days of dispatch.
Because BetterTap is professionally installed, our team will coordinate with you to schedule an installation appointment once your system ships. Replacement filters and accessories are shipped directly to you and don't require an appointment.
You'll receive tracking information by email as soon as your order is on its way. If your address is outside our standard service area, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm availability.
Returns
We want you to love your water. If something isn't right, reach out to our team and we'll make it right.
Unused replacement filters and accessories in their original, unopened packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the product price. For installed systems, contact us within 30 days and we'll walk you through the options available for your order.
To start a return, message us through Contact with your order number. Refunds are issued to your original payment method once the returned item is received and inspected.
Warranty
Every BetterTap system comes with a 3-year warranty, extendable to 5 years, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
The warranty covers the system itself. Consumable parts that are replaced as part of normal upkeep — such as the MAZE filter and UV lamp — are not covered by the warranty, but you'll always know when they're due thanks to the system's built-in tracking.
To keep your coverage valid, use genuine BetterTap parts and follow the care steps in our guides. The official U.S. model is built for 110V and serviced here — grey-market imports are not covered. To make a claim, contact our team with your order details.
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of this website and your purchase of BetterTap products from YJC Trade LLC ("BetterTap," "we," "us"). By placing an order or using this site, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, and keep a copy for your records.
The words we use
A few terms appear throughout this page. A "system" means a BetterTap water filtration unit and the parts supplied with it. "Consumables" means items meant to be replaced over time, such as the MAZE filter and UV lamp. "Order" means a request you submit to buy a system, a payment plan, or accessories. "Installation" means the professional setup of your system at your address by our team or an authorized partner.
Placing an order & when it becomes binding
Submitting an order is an offer to buy. We accept it — and a contract is formed — only when we send you an order confirmation by email or begin preparing your order for shipment, whichever comes first. Until then we may decline an order for any lawful reason, including stock limits, suspected fraud, a delivery address we cannot service, or a pricing or description error. If we decline after you've paid, we'll refund you in full.
Pricing, payment & errors
All prices are shown in U.S. dollars (USD) and, unless stated otherwise, exclude any applicable state or local sales tax, which is calculated at checkout. We work hard to keep prices, descriptions and availability accurate, but they can change without notice, and occasional errors happen. If we discover an error that affects your order, we'll let you know before processing it and give you the choice to confirm at the corrected price or cancel for a full refund. Payment is collected through our secure checkout, and you confirm you're authorized to use the payment method you provide.
Eligibility for installation
BetterTap systems are intended for residential use and are professionally installed. Your installation location needs a standard 110V power outlet and access to a cold-water supply within reach of the unit. By ordering, you confirm the location meets these conditions and is safe to work in. If our installer finds the site unsuitable or unsafe — for example, hazardous materials or no usable water or power connection — we may postpone or cancel installation and will discuss the options with you.
Ownership & care of your system
When you buy a system outright, ownership transfers to you once we've received full payment; risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery or installation. Systems supplied under a lease plan remain our property until any purchase option is exercised and paid in full (see Payment Plans). Whichever applies, please use the system as described in our guides, keep it in good condition, and replace consumables on schedule so it keeps working as intended.
Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, images, logos, the BetterTap name and branding — belongs to YJC Trade LLC or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international law. You may view and share it for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not copy, reproduce or reuse it commercially without our written permission.
Limitation of liability
We stand behind our products, but to the fullest extent permitted by law, BetterTap is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or our products, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the order in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or for personal injury caused by our negligence. This site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties beyond those required by law or expressly given on this page.
Events outside our control
We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — such as severe weather, utility outages, carrier disruptions, labor shortages or supply interruptions. If such an event affects your order, we'll contact you and work to reschedule as soon as we reasonably can.
Changes, governing law & contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted when you place an order is the one that applies to it. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stay in effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which YJC Trade LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions about these terms? Payment Plans & Cancellation
BetterTap offers a few ways to pay — pay in full, installments, or lease — all described on the Shop page and confirmed at checkout. The clauses below explain how the recurring plans work and how to cancel.
How recurring plans work
If you choose an installment or lease plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically on a regular schedule until the plan is complete or cancelled. We'll show you the payment amount, frequency and total before you commit, and we'll email a reminder if a payment can't be processed so you have a chance to update your details.
Your 30-day satisfaction window
We want you to love your water. You may cancel a new plan within 30 days of installation for any reason. We'll arrange to recover the system if it was leased, stop future charges, and refund what you've paid for the plan, less any non-refundable installation cost where applicable. Cancelling after the satisfaction window
After the first 30 days, installment plans run until the balance is paid in full. Lease plans continue for the minimum term shown at checkout and can be cancelled afterward with reasonable notice; on cancellation of a lease you agree to allow us to recover the system in good condition, fair wear and tear aside. We may pause or end a plan if scheduled payments fail repeatedly after we've tried to reach you, and we'll always tell you first.
What's included while your plan is active
Active lease plans include service and support to keep your system running — covering repair or replacement of the unit for faults that aren't caused by misuse. Routine consumables you replace as part of normal upkeep are handled separately and aren't part of the plan fee unless your checkout terms say otherwise.
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and only collect the information we need to serve you well — such as your name, contact details, shipping address and order history.
We use this information to process orders, schedule installations, provide support, and — if you opt in — send you updates about better water and better living. We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to fulfil your order (for example, payment and delivery partners), and only as required to deliver our service.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, and you may request access to or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. For any privacy question, reach our team through Contact.
